Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew as a child in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. She spent most of her childhood listening to classical music, boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic tunes and old classical pieces. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any dramatic performance. After singing with her mom and sister, she began more intense training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well when she was a professional young at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. After moving to the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. Her passion for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and teacher. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of the Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing classic Latin American songs and hopes to inspire other people to follow in her footsteps.
